Hello everyone. My name is Adrian Colón. I am an aspiring tv writer of Puerto Rican descent. My writing partner is my brother Ruben Colón, also an aspiring writer. We write comedy together. When you go through the kind of things we have been through and learn to laugh about them you can inspire others to shake it off and keep going. We like to write dramedies/comedies. I am currently taking classes at UCLA Extension and looking to move to Los Angeles in the near future. I am glad to see that there are programs out there for us Hispanics. Our voices need to be heard and we need more diversity in writing rooms.

    Hi Monica,
Right now we need all the Advocacy we can get — what would be a great idea is a bilingual political radio show like NPR that engages both audiences in real time. In addition, provide entertainment and educational subject matters, that would be a hit.

    Thanks for contacting me……. JP

As a Nielsen representative as well as a-life-long advocate for the Hispanic community, I am uniquely positioned to help Spanish-language radio stations show the value of their audiences to advertisers. My mission is to be a Hispanic media advocate inside as well as outside of Nielsen Media Research. Happy to help in any way that I can!

    Hi Reyna,
In my book “The Race A New York Story” I talk about Holliywood’s many producers and Companies that offered to make movies based on my life story and I categorically turned them down because none wanted to portray me as Latin. Therefore I will welcome any opportunity to become involved and uplift Latin Actors how can I help you. Thanks…… Joe Perez EMSGA@aol.com

Joe Perez describes his compelling life story, filled with hardships, danger, and triumph. Dedicated to future generations, his memoir includes the grit and grind of growing up in Brooklyn, New York. It also demonstrates that anything is possible if you don’t give up and that one person can make a difference. With real life adventures that readers will relate to, the autobiography is interwoven with historical accounts of what was happening in the world at the time. His story spans from Brooklyn to the Bronx, to the woods of upstate New York. It describes how Joe and his brother, Ralph, started their careers as EMS workers. Joe was the co-founder of the nationally acclaimed Bedford-Stuyvesant Volunteer Ambulance Corps, in which he and partner James Rocky Robinson faced overwhelming odds in the city’s war zone known as Do-Or-Die Bed-Stuy. Struggling against vicious drug dealers, the duo organized a rag-tag team of community residents trying to save lives. “U.S. News & World Report” calls the area the Kill Zone of the United States. The organization went from the outhouse to The White House, by saving lives today and building new tomorrows. This inspirational story shows how these two men started an organization in an abandoned building and showed thousands a way out of poverty. They took people off welfare, replacing the gold chains that gang members wore with stethoscopes. The corps transformed street people into EMS workers for the NYC Fire Department, and trained countless police officers, physician assistants, nurses, and doctors. Ambulance service response time went from 20 minutes to four minutes, setting a national standard and was named “a thousand points of light organization” by President Bush.

Steven Humble Mangual - I developed the Trauma Trooper Youth Program in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn “Do or Die” we took kids away from grip of gangs and made them Paramedic, Doctors and Nurse and even Cops. Back in the days Bed-Stuy was like Dodge City a shooting or stubbing on the average ever 45 mins. US New and World Report depicts the area as the Beirut lebanon of the United States. The Program was so successful that the Brooklyn DA office adopted the program. Pick-up my book - Biography
